We’ve Got Company

I wonder if this became a popular action movie euphemism because it’s quaint to contrast friends with ones enemies, or because people generally want to murder their company.

After watching that, the becomes totally meaningless. So, to infuse some simple meaning back in, company , actually derives from companion (com + panis) which literally means “together with bread.” I think it’s time to shift this old adage to something more accurate, “Ah, the scumbags have returned, let us break bread with them.” BLAMMO
